Volunteer Experience

We have opportunities for volunteer groups of all sizes. You can volunteer as an individual or with family and friends. All volunteers must be at least 13 years of age, regardless of a student's grade level. Due to the warehouse environment, we can allow no exceptions to this age requirement. At least one chaperone 18 years of age or older for every four youth is required (youth volunteers include any volunteers between the ages of 13-17).

Processing Center Locations

Join us in November or December at one of our eight Processing Centers to inspect the millions of shoebox gifts that have been collected and prepare them for international shipment. Our goal is to collect 10.6 million shoebox gifts in the U.S. in 2024! These gifts will be Gospel opportunities for children in more than 100 countries. 

Please note: There have been a few shift schedule adjustments for 2024. Most notably, on Mondays, processing will begin at noon. You can see all available volunteer opportunities on the Make a Reservation page.

Join Us in Jan/Feb for the Build a Shoebox Service Opportunity in Aurora, IL

Join us again in January or February to assemble shoeboxes that were ordered through Build a Shoebox Online! Before these boxes can make their way to hard-to-reach countries with the message of God's love, they must be packed according to specific instructions. You're invited to participate in this unique response to bless boys and girls around the world. Whether you're interested in serving as an individual or with a group, you can have a direct part in shining Christ's light in some of the world's darkest places. This a unique, active experience with much more walking than regular processing. This opportunity is in Aurora, Illinois. Registration opens Oct. 25.
